Hey! We've got a new website and a new shop!
Why is it called Vx (= V cross)? Because our shop is now located near Kings Cross station. "...But why is it called Vx?" I can already hear you say. "You used to be called 'Secret Society Of Vegans'??" Yes my friend, you're right. We thought we needed something shorter and catchier. A name that doesn't sound too crazy when you're talking to suppliers on the phone. The Secret Society Of Vegans (SSOV) is still the mysterious and secretive organisation behind our operations. Vx is the official home of the SSOV, it is also the official home of the international vegan diaspora living in London. We are selling all sorts of things, from shoes to pet food. There's more to come. We are very excited about our new shop and I hope that you are too!
WE HAVE A CREATED A GOOGLE MAP WITH ALL OF THE VEG*N RESTAURANTS NEAR THE SHOP. THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM! CHECK IT OUT!
We are just opened for business and we already have a nice range of cool products on our shelves.
If you are looking for some cool and ethically-sound shoes, you don't need to look elsewhere! We have got the very comfy and ready-for-battle Bouncing Boots and Bouncing Shoes from Veganline. Picture that: leather-free Doc Martens made in the UK and much cheaper than an other brand I won't name (hint: they're based in Brighton)! Yes, and we are Veganline's official retailer in London. Which means that we have every sizes available and carry most of their range. Another ethical and vegan company that we are proud to carry is Bourgeois Boheme. The Richmond (London) based vegan fashion company makes and distributes luxurious dress shoes and handbags. For the hardcore kids and the skaters, we are also carrying Macbeth shoes. This company is owned by a bunch of rockstars (Blink-182) and they sponsor bands like Tegan & Sara, My Chemical Romance and AFI.
Food! Yes! Vegan food! If you were a regular customer of our old shop, you must know that we always had the crazyiest vegan products. Vegan Oreos cookies, Nutty Chews (vegan Snickers), Instant vegan cappuccino, all sorts of packaged cookies, Clif bars, Luna bars, Dame Blanche, Chunkies etc... Plus more! We are now also selling frozen ready meals and other frozen products (vegan chicken nuggets, burgers). You won't believe it when you see the ready meals: vegan green pesto lasagna, Vegan chicken cannellonis in white mushroom sauce etc... We have got a couple of Sojami products (French dairy free cheese spread and paté) and we are expecting more stock to come in (drinks, icecream). Oh! We are now selling cakes, cupcakes, muffins and whoopies too baked by Ms Cupcake! AND some of the vegan organic take away sandwiches, wraps and salads from Fresh!. We are now selling some amazing French pastries (Profiteroles, Mille Feuilles) made by Accidentally Vegan.
We have got a lounge in our basement with a conservatory!!! We are now making hot / cold drinks (coffee, shakes, smoothies) too!
And let's not forget about the SSOV, you'll find the latest t-shirts, bags and other accessories from the Secret Society Of Vegans. By stepping in Vx, you are stepping in the SSOV's official flagstore!

Join our team!
Do you want to help out? We always need an extra pair of hands! We are looking for volunteers to be at the shop and assist the manager. In exchange of your time, you'll receive free SSOV merchandise and other food goodies. We'll also pay for your travel card if you need one to come to the shop. It's an opportunity for you to hang out at the coolest vegan shop in Europe, make new friends and be part of our gang!

The Secret Society Of Vegans has been producing vegan gear since 2004. It was originally started to raise funds for Pogo Café (London's not-for-profit vegan restaurant). It became soon after its own independent organisation leaving behind the East London co-op. Since then, the SSOV has grown to expand internationally. With a distribution deal struck in 2006 in North America and a UK mailorder growing steadily, the Secret Society Of Vegans has been getting more and more fans / recruiting agents all around the world.
In 2009, we decided to open a small shop unit in the Camden Market Hall (Camden Town). After almost a year, we came to the conclusion that it was time to move on and open a new boutique with larger premises and a larger range of products. February 2010 sees the opening of V+, home of the SSOV in Kings Cross, London.
Our shop sells clothing, shoes, grocery and fresh cakes / cupcakes. And everything is vegan and mostly fair-trade sourced!
